A structured venue selection process was undertaken to identify the host city and venue best suited to the Space Economic Forum.

The evaluation focused on the ability to support a large- scale international gathering of more than 2,000 attendees, including plenary programming, parallel sessions, exposition space, networking environments, and family-inclusive public-facing experiences. Key criteria included venue capacity, international accessibility, local transportation, accommodation options, audiovisual and connectivity infrastructure, operational support services, host-city credibility, and overall commercial feasibility.

Through this process, Helsinki, Finland, emerged as a strong fit for the SEF’s trend- and policy-setting ambitions.

Helsinki was selected for its infrastructure, accessibility, venue capability, and broader host city fit. Located in Finland, recognized as the happiest country in the world and a leader in sustainability, Helsinki offers a powerful setting for large- scale international convening and long-term partnership building.

Messukeskus provides the scale and operational flexibility required for the forum’s multi-format design and will serve as the central venue for a program expected to bring together public and private sector participants from across the international cis-lunar space economy.
